At the doorstep of a new year full of exciting possibilities

Madcowstududio is looking forward to welcoming old and new members to a new year full of creative buzz and great energy.

Classes start from Tuesday the 1st of February

The beginners art class Thursday 1-4 pm will run if we get enough interest.

I will need to see proof of your double vaccination, which is available to you through your online medicare access and the medicare app, which can give you access to your record via your smart phone.. please have this ready when you arrive.

Masks and sign in are also required for everyone who attends.

Gateway - Public Sculpture Shoalhaven

Introducing 'Gateway', a public art sculpture that focuses on the 2019 - 2020 bushfires, designed by a local Nowra artist, Dora Rognvaldsdottir. This is a community arts project that invites groups and individuals to partake in workshops to create ceramics that are a significant part of the sculpture. 1st Term 2022 - (10 Weeks) - Weekly Mosaic & Art Classes
Spaces available - 1st February - 14th April

Art classes are based on themes and generally explore a variety of techniques and art mediums. All materials and tools are included in all of the workshops and art classes to make it easy and accessible for all to come and create. We celebrate the combined achievements with an end of the year exhibition in the studio.

Mosaic Classes - Adults
Tuesday morning. . . 9.00 am - 12 noon - One Space available
Tuesday afternoon. . . 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm - One Space available
Tuesday Evening. . . 6.00 pm - 9.00 pm - Two Spaces available
Wednesday Morning. . . 9.00 am - 12 noon - Full
Wednesday evening classes. . . 6.30 pm - 9.30 pm - One Space available
Thursday morning class. . . 9.00 am - 12 noon - Two Spaces available

No experience needed. Discover different techniques of mosaic with an emphasis on design and composition. This class allows you to work at your leisure using precision tools and an exciting mix of exotic tiles. There is also the option of creating your own ceramics tiles/objects and have them kiln fired to include in your projects.

Class is open to all abilities regardless of experience and all materials and tools are included.

Art Classes - Adults
Looking for interested participants
BEGINNERS CLASS Thursday Afternoon. . . 1.00 pm - 4.00 pm
This 10 week course will focus on observation drawing, composition, tones, lines and patterns through various mediums using charcoal, ink and acrylics. If time allows works can be developed into collagraphs. The works will be theme based.
Class is open to all abilities regardless of experience and all materials and tools are included.

ADVANCED CLASS Thursday Evening. . . 6:30pm - 9:30pm.

Mosaic Madness

This is an action packed day, designing and creating a beautiful image of colour and fun. No experience is needed. All materials and tools are provided. Bring rubber gloves and your own project to mosaic on to.

We can provide ready made pieces to mosaic on, such as mirrors, small table tops and boards for hanging (at extra cost). Please advise, when booking.

Chook or Chicks - Construction garden sculpture workshop

You can now make a chook or 2 chicks to enlarge your collection of clucking concrete sculptures

Using armature and construction techniques, this is a wonderful day making 'chook' sculptures. A perfect garden buddy or scarecrow for snails.

All materials, tools and a hand crafted ceramic comb are provided.

Participants are asked to bring garden and rubber gloves. Come in your 'art clothes'.

Reduction Sculpture

This is a highly motivated day, learning the principals of reduction sculpture. You can complete a lovely garden sculpture on it's own plinth and the results are always truly stunning.

All you need is to bring the simplest of ideas, a pair of rubber gloves and a good pair of garden gloves.

Workshop Price - $275.00
